  • Objectives:

    The Technical Product Specialist, Security and Compliance is a key player in the Product Management organization who is hands-on and brings to life the services and technical solutions focused on Security and Compliance across both our Managed Services and Cloud enablement organization. You are a key partner to the Product Managers who are framing the market and strategy while you help match the perfect solution(s). Ideally you are bringing a unique blended skillset that is part product engineer, part researcher, part educator, and part consultant.

    In addition to Product Management you will work collaboratively with Product Engineering, Customers, Business Owners, and Delivery Staff, and Sales to define, build, and iterate on security and compliance focused solutions. This will involve keeping a keen eye on the Cloud Provider ecosystem, the ISV market, and building/testing new products hands-on to ensure our solutions and services are best of breed.

    The position requires strong customer empathy and focus, communication skills, technical skills, customer presence, industry knowledge, and a desire to be an expert on all things security and compliance while helping to educate others.

    Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Assist in understanding customer problems related to security and compliance
  • Create / provide thought-leadership to the organization internally and externally
  • Define and author needed artifacts, documentation, or patterns for security and compliance service offerings in partnership with product managers
  • Research and evaluate products in the marketplace, including open source, cloud provider, or ISV originated technology
  • Be the technical evangelist and key security SME within the Product organization
  • Align with key SMEs at partner and cloud provider organizations specific to the security and compliance market space to understand product technical detail and roadmaps
  • Skills / Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of related security and compliance experience; at least 2 of those focused exclusively on public cloud or hybrid environments.
  • Technical skills coupled with strong communication skills
  • Experience with compliance assessment process, policy, and common standards such as: Sarbanes Oxley, HIPAA, PCI, etc.
  • Hands-on experience in assessing, implementing and optimizing large-scale deployments of leading Cloud Security & Compliance tools (e.g. Redlock, Cloud Custodian, etc.) for Enterprise customers
  • Deep knowledge of public cloud and hybrid security environment complexities
  • Hands on experience with AWS and Azure security frameworks
  • Conversant and experienced in the security ecosystem related to:
  • Vulnerability scanning and mitigation
  • Dynamic code analysis tool usage
  • Sockets, TLS, SSL, and VPN experience
  • Layer 3 thru 7 network security experience
  • Penetration Testing and Fuzzing (files, functions)
  • Authentication and Authorization mechanics and protocols
  • System configuration, deployment, and technical control of security infrastructure
  • Firewalls, anti-virus, intrusion detection
  • Ability to learn new products and technical concepts quickly
  • Successfully manage time and technical responsibilities, set accurate expectations and meet deliverable deadlines while working in a team environment
  • Desired:

  • Industry recognized information security certifications, such as a CISSP, CSSLP or technical SANS certificates (GPEN, GWAPT), or Cloud Security Alliance CCSK certificate.
  • Comfortable working on both Linux-based and MS Windows-based system platforms with a strong technical understanding and aptitude for analytical problem-solving.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise, network, system and application level security issues.
  • Strong understanding of Cloud Computing and the AWS and Azure product suite
  • Understanding of enterprise computing environments, distributed applications, and a strong understanding of TCP/IP networks
  • Understanding of the system hardening processes, tools, guidelines and benchmarks.
  • Strong understanding of encryption technologies, Java/Linux and Microsoft implementations
